Hi Debbie This is great. The william brown def is mine which also shows violet who I know died young, as she is not on the 1901 census. His brother is also listed as he didn't meet his wife until 1892. And the address has been a common one right through into 1901.Archibald? could be him age fits etc. Maybe there could have been a mistake in the census, bit different Llandudno to Manchester. I so much appreciate you finding this out for me.Many thanks Catherine |

Hi Debbie I know in 1881 they lived at 14 Victoria St, Ardwick in Manchester, he lived with his 2 brothers and mother. William Brown in 1881 was 12 b Manchester James in 1881 was 11 b in Liverpool Archibald in 1881 was 14 b in Llandudno. They lived with their mother Mary Brown who was age 31 b Edinburgh. No record of the dad who I believe was a William Brown as well. Must have moved about alot as it looks as if all the kids were born in different parts of the country. William married Catherine in 1887 so I assume would still be at home as the 1891 census was 4 years after he married her. No record found on the other brothers as well. Many thanks if you can help. I have his marriage cert and just received this morning his death cert. I though it would have had his DOB on the death one, but no. Now I am left in exactly the same place as before. I have looked on 1837 got index's send for cert and found them to be wrong. Can anyone help me find my g grandad's birth. William Brown b Manchester 1869. This is all the info I have, he was married age 18 in 1887 died age 47 in 1916. In 1881 age 12. And 1901 age 31. Thanks Catherine |
