Thanks to both Christine and Susan for your time, I have ordered a marriage certificate so hopefully I will find out more details. Would like to know when he died though so I will continue my search - better get my eyes wiped though first and get on with some work before the boss comes in! |

Emma if you look at www.lancashirebmd.org.uk you and look at Marriages there is one for John H Buck and Geraldine CONNOLLY in 1932. If you click on the reference to the right, it will take you to a partially completed application form to get the marriage certificate which will give you names of both fathers and occupations and addresses. Wow, that was quick, thanks! That is a bit too early as my Dad was born in 1945 and so we suspect my Grandfather to have been born around 1910 - 1920, he is not listed on the 1901 cenus. |

Am looking for any information on JOHN BUCK who was my grandfather. He married my grandmother Geraldine CONNOLLY and it is thought they lived in Liverpool. They had 3 sons one of which is my father who was adopted at birth. John Buck died in the 1950's or so I am lead to believe and I was wondering if anyone could give me ANY advice on how to trace him - I don't know anything else about him, have never even seen a photo. THANKS |
