My Great Grandfather (bn c1884 Edinburgh) ran away from home aged 13 or 15 years & joined the Cameron Highlanders, pretending to be 19. He was packed off to South Africa to fight in the Boar War, and was only returned to these shores when they found out is real age. Can anyone point me in the direction of a Cameron Highlander web site, or contact address because I would like to find out more about his parents, of which we only have scant details? Thanks Paul |
