I am wondering whether it is worth investing in any of the Kellys or other directories to see if it will give me any further information about a number of my ancestors who were trades people. Does any one have any good / bad experiences of these? Thanks! |

I don't have the exact address but if you do a search for 'University of Leicester Historical Directories' this will bring you to a great site that has thousands of entries. All for free. Happy hunting. Trish |

Hello Angela I have purchased one Kelly's Directory off Archive books with no problems. But, as Trish says www.historicaldirectories.org will get you to a really good site. Shirley |

Thanks for this, it's brilliant!! I've spent most of the evening looking through the Hampshire 1899 directory and found 5 more businesses that my rellies ran. Thank you again!!!! |
