Francis Hudson married Mary Dyer in Edgbaston, Birmingham , 21/7/1806, but I cannot find a birth or baptism record for him on the IGI. In the parish register, a Joseph Hudson married Lucy Hawksford, and Francis was a witness....so I assume Francis and Joseph were brothers or cousins.........no IGI birth/baptism record for Joseph either. Can anyone suggest how I might search? |

Joan As the IGI is not complete the best place is the main library. They should have the Parish Records of the church you have found on the IGI. Sorry I don't know where you live so this may not be possible. You could try asking for a look-up on this site. Good luck Vera Manchester |

Vera Many thanks for that idea. I was fixed on thinking he came from somewhere outside Birmingham rather than the parish where he was married. Next time I go to Birmingham I'll search the Edgbaston baptism records. Joan |

Anna, Thanks for that website....I didn't know it and it looks useful. Unfortunately the record I am looking for just now is before 1837. Joan |
