Hello can someone advise me on how to search for birth records pre 1837.Have received today copy of marriage entry for gg grandparents who were born in1832 and 1835,also states couples fathers names and would love to search for them.Thanks Kathleen |

Try www(dot)familysearch(dot)org The Mormons have transferred most Church records to computer, so if they were christened, as is likely, there is a good chance of finding them - albeit you may still need to check a copy of the original record at a library or archives office. Hi Kathleen. If you have the marriage cert it may be that either or both of the families used that church for christenings etc. Looking up the registers at William Brown Street got us some way back. Just a thought, although its a long way from Hants |

Thanks Norman and Keith,this branch lived in Manchester,copy I got today was from Manchester Cathedral,which I found entry for on Family Search.Cant find any of them on any census so dont have a clue where they were born.Manchester was a surprise as my Mum always thought they come from yorkshire Many Thanks Kathleen |

Hi If you type in "Hugh Wallis site" (I cannot remember the website) on a search engine you should access the church records before 1837 - excellent site it will keep me going for a long time. Roseanne |
