May, If you really don't want to install Macromedia's Flash plug-in and you do not want to see these security warnings, here are the steps you need to follow: Start Internet Explorer. Select Tools, then Internet Options. Click on the Security tab and then select Custom Level. Disable the option "Download signed ActiveX controls." Then click OK and restart IE for the changes to take effect. Now you won't be bothered with these security warnings when you hit a Macromedia-enabled site. You also won't be able to download any plug-ins at all. If you want plug-ins but don't want to see the alert, choose the Enable option instead. Keep in mind that enabling downloads for signed ActiveX controls reduces the security of your browser. The preferred method of eliminating these warnings is to go ahead and install the plug-in. Hello Crista, Sorry to appear 'dim' but what exactly is a plug in? What is the advantage in installing this Macromedia Flash plug'in? I don't seem to have trouble viewing the sites it appears on! Linda.
