Hi Pat Did you manage to get a copy of the marriage cert. as this should give her age, plus the place of residence, which may halp to narrow the search from the 1881 census? Regards Maxine |

Hi, Pat The 1891 census gives similar information. There is a Maud Taylor 7 years old in it, who would not have been old enough to marry in 1896. Maud A Taylor is the only one born in Aston of an age to have married in 1896. Details are similar to 1881. Back of 13 Kelynge Street, Bordesley, Aston, Birmingham: Charles Taylor, head, 54, Copper roller, born Warwickshire, Studley; Amelia A Taylor, wife, 52, born Worcestershire, Stourbridge; Maud A Taylor, daur, 17, Dressmaker's assistant, born Warwickshire, Birmingham; Emma G Taylor, daur, 14, Milliner's apprentice, born Warwickshire, Birmingham; Ada Warley, lodger, 20, Milliner's assistant, born London. Free BMD reveals that Maud Amelia Taylor's birth was registered Oct-Dec 1873, Aston 6d 277. I hope this turns out to be the person you are looking for. Best wishes Stan Driver |
