Patricia Many thanks for flagging up this site. So far (touch wood), I haven't had the problems that others have experienced. I found a link from the site to Old Bailey proceedings and there found the 1799 trial for offences against the King of two Cornish smugglers. These two were amongst those tried in 1800 for the murder of one of my ancestors (a Customs Officer) in 1798. Both were acquitted of the murder because they had turned King's Evidence. Can't wait until the autumn by which time the murder trial should be available on line. The perpetrator, incidentally, was found guilty and was hanged at Execution Dock! Many thanks, again. David |

I can get to this fine but it has some serious pop-ups. Make sure your pop-up blocker is running when you access this one. Crista |
