I have a copy of the 1896 OS map of Hartlepool covering Hartlepool, West Hartlepool and Middleton. On the reverse of the map is a listing of shops, pubs, other public buildings and their owners/landlords for all the main thoroughfares, Albert Street, Lynn Street, Church Street, York Road etc. If anyone thinks they might have family that owned a shop/pub etc then I am willing to look for names - there are about 800 individuals listed in total. regards Bethan |
