I have an ancestor on the 1851 census who seems to have been born in a place that looks like South Sowell or Sewell in Leicestershire around 1810, I have tried every site I can think of but can't find a place name that resembles it,any ideas? Lyn |

Linda It could be Sorrel as in Mountsorrel but there isn't a south to it. I live in Leicestershire and there isn't a Sowell or a Sewell. John |
