Your family tree software can create a gedcom, then you are able to download it and email it. |

Agree- I have Family Tree Maker which I have finally managed to work out how to produce a GedCom, and downloading it onto the Genes connecred site seems v easy. Can anyone tell me how to edit out existing family members? I seem to have been told that you cannot display anyone living who has not given their permission. Sue |

In family tree maker, if you go to file (top left), choose Preferences from the menu shown. Then choose Privatize from the second menu. Tick the box to privatise your data. If you then create a GEDCOM it will put the word private into the date boxes for living relatives. Repeat above except unticking the privatise box to get your data back to normal. |
