Hi Anne, Could he have changed his name by deed poll? Could they do that in those days, and does anyone know where you might find records of this? I've got a similar problem with my own family tree and would be interested to know. Vanda |

Family Records Office has adoption certificates for all official adoptionsin England and Wales. Otherwise he could have taken name of stepfather or foster parent |
