thanks! was the cottage hospital and racefield hospital the same thing? do you know if that was definately the tb hospital? |

Racefield Hospital was were Racefield hamlet is now the buildings were converted into private homes You could try Royton Library to see if they have any info or go to www(.)oldham(.)gov(.)uk. and follow the link to local studies Bren |

Hello Sandra If you type 'Royton Hospital History' into search then click onto Oldham Council and Community info. you will find some publications for sale about the hospital. one is called 'History of Dr Kershaws cottage Hospital Royton Lancashire'. it looks like it could be either £2.25 or £6.50. I hope this is the correct Hospital for you Shirley |

has anyone heard of royton tb or pulmonary hospital, i think it could have been where racefield hamlet private estate is now. does anyone know how i can find out more information about it? i think my auntie ethel preston was there before she died in 1950's |
