I have found a seaman's record book, his name is John Frederick Lovett Smith, he was born 22nd December 1923 @ Sutton Bennington. His mother was Edith Smith living @ 75 Sherwin Road Stapleford Notts. I also have his fingerprints on some other documents, his British seaman's identity card. He started off as a baker and confectionery he later became a steward, on various ships. He has his photo on his documents. This may be of interest to someone who is researching their family. Sue................ |
