Can someone help me a side branch of my family tree please? I need an 1891 Census lookup of the Barker family of Whitby - Christopher Barker (bn 1842 Whitby) Head - Mariner; Maria Dixon Barker (bn 1845 Whitby) Wife; Florence Barker (bn 1875 Whitby) Daur; Edith Barker (bn 1877 Whitby) Daur; Thomas C Barker (bn 1880 whitby) Son. On the 1881 Census they were recorded at 21 Well Close, Ruswarp, Whitby. Living next door was Christopher's parents - Joseph Barker (bn 1815 Whitby) Retired Mariner; Margaret Barker (bn 1816 Whitby); Thomas Barker (brother of Joseph) (bn 1817) Retired Farmer. I would really appreciate a lookup of the parents too. Thank you. Paul

Three cheers for Ruth. Thanks to her help with the 1891 Census, I was able to a link a name given to me in a letter from my Great Great Aunt to my tree. As a result, I have traced a 3rd cousin once removed & spoke to him on the phone last night. It turns out his younger brother has been tracing their family tree too. Looking forward to meeting up soon. thnx Ruth Paul
