Hi Has anyone used the Record Offices in Bradford to obtain photocopies of original documents. I ordered a marriage certificate from the General Record Office in London and whilst the info was interesting I was hoping for a copy of the original to see the handwriting of my ancestors etc. Has anyone managed to obtain photocopy of a birth/marriage/death certificate from the record offices in Bradford, for example the West Yorkshire Archives? |

the registrars offices in West Yorkshire are fantastic for copies - really helpful staff - havent been to the Bradford office yet but the ones I have been to were first class. Its amazing to see something your ancestor has signed - makes it all seem real |

I have a certificate from there. It is written in pen but it is all the same handwriting. Suggest you ring them and ask I have found them very helpful. |
