HiAgain, Just had a look at the 1891 census for both City and County for Leicestershire but couldn't find him anywhere ! ! ! If you want I'll have a good look for him when I go into the Leicester Family History Society some time next week They have better records and maybe I'll be more successful for you. MIKE.

Hi Mike,,,thankyou so much for this,, Yes my g/grandfather John was living in Devonshire st in 1881 ...which made him 31...born <1850> John Henry Kenney was the name listed as *father* on my grandads marriage Certificate..but we know that It was not the one married to Fanny as i have a certificate showing he was married to Elza,,,PHEW!!! Perhaps you can see why i am puzzled The other b/c i have is a John born to a Rebecca,,,no father listed on certificate,, Dont think i am making much sense here but trying very hard cheers Kate

Hi Mike John and eliza were married in Whetstone..but were living in Leicester in 1881 Census..the 2 b/c do not seem to check out,,,feel something is wrong,,some information is not right but just cannot put my finger on it,,Thankyou so much for your reply Kate

Just trying again in case there is someone somewhere that can help me..Looking for G/Grandfather in 1871 to see if i can locate him with his parents or siblings..according to his marriage certificate he would have been born about 1849..Name,John Kenney...I already have 2 Birth certificates but cannot find out which one is which,,Getting desperate..!!! Keeping everything crossed Thankyou Kate (from Oz)
