Thanks for all your suggestions. April I thought this was the right William Kircher, I even got the birth certificate. Then I found out this one married someone I had't even heard of, that's why I'm now stuck. Michelle |

Michelle Update!! I got my arithmetic wrong...was looking for birth in 1893 not 1883. Is he the 7 year old on the 1901 living with his family in Stone, Kent? If so, it says he was born there. Sue |

Perhaps someone can find him on 1891 or 1901 if you put a request on here? Maz. XX |

Only thing I can suggest is the following; From waht you say he must have been born in 1883 therefore either consult the GRO or 1837 online for that year and couple or so either side. |

I am unable to trace my gt grandfather's birth. His name is William Kircher. He married Mary Lilian Carter in Portsmouth 1924 and died in Portsmouth 1941, aged 58. I have both the marriage and death certificates. My nan seems to think that he was born in Wimbledon, London, but he could have been born in Portsmouth. Can anyone help, I have checked freebmd and LDS. |
