Hi all, Recently came across a site which may be helpful to some. www(.)ship-photos(.)com. The guy who runs it is based in New Zealand and he has 100,000 plus photos of ships, which he has photographed since the 1960s. I used it to track down photos of the ships my father served on in the Merchant Navy during the 1970s, and with the exchange rate it only cost me £6 for the 3. He also has a British bank account which makes buying them really easy. Only took a week for deleivery. Unfortunately, the website does not show the pictures only the names of the ships, so you'd need to know that. But well worth a look for those with rellies in the navy. Hope it helps some of you, Lindsay, Bolton. |

If anyone has rellies who were in Bomber Command during WWII, I have a set of "Bomber Command Losses" which lists by date of loss aircraft that were shot down or crashed with details of Squadron, base, crew, fate of crew, graves and circumstances of loss (where known). If you e-mail me with the date of loss and name you're interested in I'll see what I can find. |

Lindsay, You are a star! I have been looking for photographs of two ships which are listed on the site. I think they will make a great Christmas present for my Father. Regards Margaret |

Margaret, Glad I could help. It took me days of searching on the net before I stumbled across it by accident. Hope your father likes them. Lindsay, |
