Hi Sandra My guess is that Annie was never married to George Trim, who left her after a few years. It is possible that she was never married to anyone, and called herself a widow for forms sake! I take it you have checked out her several possible names for marriages for the whole 1891-1901 period. What about Annie Trim if she gave her names and 'formerly' in the wrong order? Were any of the children baptised, which would give a check against church records? I suspect that to find descendants will involve going about it the long way, assuming marriages between the ages of (say) 18 and 30, and children from 1 to 5 years after marriage. Best of luck. I will try not to bore you but this is a bit of a puzzle to me. On my grandfather,s birth certificate it says father George Trim, mother Anniefrancis Trim formerly dowell. On 1891 census she is at same address 129 st Pancras road with Charles(my gdad Rose reynolds helped there) but she is calling herself Dowell. Bear with me! In 1892 and 1894 she had 2 more children John & George. on both birth certificates it says father George Dowell mother Annie Dowell formerly Frances. On the 1901 she is a widow still called Dowell, and my maiden name was Dowell. I cant find any trace of a marriage between either a Annie Dowell or Annie Frances with either a george Dowell or Trim. Any suggestions please there are no rellie left to ask now or at least none I have yet discovered am trying to find any desendants from the 2 brothers John Dowell I know had twins ,George I know died aged 27 but I dont know if he had children. If you have got this far thanks for your time I feel better for writing it down going to bed know night night sandra |
