you can write to the local probate registry with the full name date of death and address of the person whose will you require til recently you sent to york probate registry for these but i read somewhere that that has changed but cant remember where to can find out if you wish the copy of the will should cost £5 and if you want a copy of the Grant of probate that is £5 too. The will will only be there if it was "proved" hevi |

Browsing this board I was chuffed to find a site that has wills,(and downloaded one straight away that was very useful!) but I was wondering how you get more current wills? To solve a family mystery I have been tasked with obtaining my great grandmothers will, She died in 1949. How on earth do you go about it? |
