Whilst at a car boot sale in Andover I came across a folder that contains several documents that maybe of interest to anyone who has a Mrs R.A. Gilbart in their family tree. Item one is a three-page list of household contents that were put into storage with Pickfords in September 1939 – I would assume for the duration of the war. The list is of furniture and personal effects. Item two is a letter dated 4th October 1945 f rom Pickfords arranging the return of the good to 22 Dunerievie Road, Hither Green London. Item three is an Empty envelope addressed to Mrs R.A. Gilbart, the address is 73 Jermingham Road, New Cross Gate, London. It has a note on the front that indicates it held papers for the estate of the late M.A. Burt. The last item is another letter this time from Hirst and Co Solicitors, dated 19th November 1945, dealing with some sort of rent or rates for a house at 56 Minards Road Catford , London. As there maybe more that one person who would like this folder, to this end would all interested parties please post a reply to this message on this board. I will send the original to the person who has the strongest claim to it and a photocopy to anyone else. Sorry but this is the fairest way I could think of to find a home for the folder. Oh yes and if I get lots of requests for the folder please be prepared to send me a stamped addressed envelope. Yours Chris

Hi Chris. Just a thought, but I wonder if it would be a good idea to send info to one of the local papers in the areas you mention. One of the freebie papers who deliver around the Lewisham/Catford area is The Mercury. I'll email you phone numbers, web site etc. in case they get scrambled on here! All the best Dierdre X
