I am trying to trace my gr grandfather, Thomas Kinch who was born in Kirby Muxloe, Leics in about 1853. I have found an IGI baptism record for a Thomas Rubley Kinch in 1853 in Kirby Muxloe which just gives just his mother’s name - Ann Kinch. I have his marriage cert from 1877 which is the first evidence I have for him living in Nottingham where he spent the rest of his life. This gives his father’s name as Amos Kinch but I am a bit puzzled why he is not on the baptism entry, if this is the same Thomas Kinch. I can’t find Thomas’ birth entry on 1837 online. I would be really grateful if someone could check the Leics 1861 census so I could find out a bit more about who his family were. Many thanks. |
