Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I've got the ref. I need to get a copy of the marriage certificate of my gg grandfather from 1845. What sort of info will there be? I know on later copies I've got, it has ages, professions, fathers name etc. Can I expect the same info on a marriage certificate from this early? Thanks, Steph |

HI Stephanie The oldest marriage certificate i have is dated 1848 and it has the Bride and grooms name their fathers name amd all their occupations and both were full aged. I also have a copy of the parish records of a marriage dated 21st January 1821 and that gives details of thier parishes, where they were married and who they were married in the presence of. I hope this helps Jane |

I have an 1846 marriage certificate, and the columns are: When Married : Name and Surname : Age : Condition (ie bachelor/spinster) : Rank or Profession : Residence at the Time of Marriage : Father's Name and Surname : Rank or Profession of Father. Jan |
