Thanks Janet, In the 1881 census, I have him as living as a lodger in Longdon Staffs with the Linney household. He is listed as a coalminer which my Dad confirmed as being his occupation. Also his future wife Martha Jane Hitchens came from Gentleshaw Longdon so I assume that's how they met. Will check out your George though, Thanks, Gillian. |

Gillian There's a George Hunt born 1865 in Bladon on the 1881 census, living with his sister and widowed father. Don't suppose this could possibly be your George? Janet |

Hello, Could someone please look up my great grandad, George HUNT, born Bladon Oxford 1861. I am trying to find out who his parents are. I've had no luck with familysearch & freecen. Thanks in advance, Gillian |
