Hi Vanessa, Had another look and found Harriet and Annie at St. James Street. RG12/1569, Folio 65, page 3 St. Margaret Norfolk Henry John Coston, head, sing, 28, draper, Norfolk Lynn Harriet Agnes Sheppard, sister, wid, 38, draper, Norfolk Lynn Annie Sheppard, daur, 15, Essex Colchester Ellen Southgate, serv, 14, General servant domestic, Norfolk Middleton. In brackets between Henry and Harriet is written "as Sheppard Hoston". I wonder if Harriet or the family had put their name as Sheppard Coston and the person filling out the schedule has put Hoston by mistake. |

Hi David, Haven't managed to find anything exact, however, there is a Mary Mitchinson with mother Ann and father Thomas or a Mary Ann Mitchison and her mother Mary Mitchison living with John Mitchison (Mary Mitchison's son, Mary Ann Mitchison's brother). Would you like details of either of them? |

Thanks so much for trying to find my Sheppards. Couldn't find either John or George on 1881 so maybe both died young. James is on 1881 but not 1901. In 1881 he was living with wife Harriet and daughter Annie who would be 15 in 91. Wondered if there were any more children? So grateful for your help. |

Lucy, Sorry you are right, it is John. Brain cells are going to pot with all these names. It is possible they did split up, as on 1901 census Mary is a housekeeper for a 71 year old. Thanks for your help Kim |
