Hello Helen, I have just found this on the PRO site for you Adoption records are not held at the PRO they are at htt://www(.)familyrecords(.)gov(.)uk/topics/adoption(.)htm They also recommend asking your library for Georgina Staffords book "where to find Adoption Records" issued by the adopting agencies in 1993. Still looking for my adopted brother John McGibbon dob 01/09/1946 can any one put me out of my misery my eyes are going round and round going nowhere I would bevery grateful many thanks Helen. |
