You like the easy life don't you !! How did you manage this after all the trouble finding him. God help you when you get further back. Is it possible he has stolen someone's name ? or would that be to obvious with your luck having just found him. Good luck and I look forward to hearing your theory Stephen |

Riley is born around 1872, but there is no record on the GRO, he is on the 1891 census as Riley, he marries in 1896 as Riley, in 1901 he is Riley. However when he dies in 1949 he is buried with his wife and is called Ripley. Now there is a Ripley Ferguson born in the same area and the right year but he dies 6 months later. I have a theory but would like to know what you all think. John |
