Hi Kim, Where are you researching your Judds? It's my husband's side of the family and he's researching in Cambridgeshire and Essex. Von

Kate, it's Claxby Pluckacre. I've looked on 1861 census - a hamlet of only 39 souls - no Woodwards.

Hi Kate, I'm sorry but I can't find either of them. I've lived in Lincolnshire all my life and have never heard of Cluxby Plackacre. Just goes to show - you learn something every day!! Von

Hi Yvonne Please can you look up John Hollingsworth Grey (Gray). He should be living in Winterton. He used to be a carpenter but not sure if he was still doing this. HIs wife Hannah was a dress maker. NOt sure if she is still alive. She died before 1878. Thanks for your help Jane

~Von~

~Von~ Report 1 Jul 2004 12:26

Hi Jane, There's no sign of John. The only Gray listed in Winterton is Thomas Gray, cowkeeper. I had a look round the surrounding area and found John Henry Grey, furniture dealer in Scunthorpe. Sorry I couldn't help more. Von
