HI April( lovely name LOL) Camberwell Created 1st July 1837. In Surrey until 1889. Sub-districts : Camberwell; Camberwell North; Camberwell South; Dulwich; Peckham; Peckham North; Peckham South; St. George. GRO volumes : IV (1837-51); 1d (1852-1930). Camberwell. Registers now in Southwark district. Is this of any use April |

can anyone tell me if surrey n e, on a death registration would mean southwark in 1953, i'm looking for the death of george reece and i have come across george j reece, 80, death registered in the 1st quater of 1953, he died in st. giles hospital camberwell, any information would be gratefully received. |
