Pat, On the 1901 census, there's a 60 year old Alfred Dodd living in Birmingham/Aston who's a sword polisher. Crista |

Hi there Try looking in the 1903 Directories for the Father in the district where they were living at the time of the Marriage. You will find these in their Local History Library. Mary Beckett |

Hi Patricia, On 1901 census there is an Alfred Dodd born in shoreditch and he is 33 and a polisher. On 1881 census there is an Alfred Dodd, born in Shoreditch along with his family and born in 1868 I think it is the same man as follows: William Dodd 46 Shoreditch Wheelwright Harriet Dodd 45 Shoreditch William Dodd son 21 Shoreditch Painter Anne L Dodd Dau 15Shoreditch Cigar maker Alfred Dodd Son 13 Shoreditch Scholar Frederick Dodd son 19 Shoreditch Carpenter Jane Dodd daut 9 Shoreditch Sidney Dodd son 5 Shoreditch Edward Dodd son 3 Shoreditch 23 Coronet Street London Middlesex Hope this is helpful Gen |

in 1903 she was 18 years old and there is no occupation listed, strange !! I have seen the Ellen Dodd that you have mentioned. looks like a brick wall at the moment. |

Hi Max They were married in the parish of St Gabriels in Birmingham. Harry was born in Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Ellen family is quite ellusive ?? |

I have Ellen Elizabeth Dodd that Married Harry Baker in 1903, I have the marraige certificate but i am having problems locating her family, I know that her fathers name was Alfred dodd and his occupation in 1903 was a Polisher. Can you assist or come up with any surgestions ?? |
