If a child was adopted and there name changed, I think they must make the first move to locate natural/birth family. My understanding is that not even the birth mother will be given details of new life. This might not be the case now, but it was in earlier adoptions. It might all depend on when the adoption took place. Sorry not to be more positive or helpful sally |

how do i start to look for someone who was adopted at birth when i only have a date of birth and the place where he was born? i'm assuming that the name he was given was changed by the new parents and i cannot assume that the name i have as his father is correct. can anyone please help? thanks gina |
