Ah so Maz - this is where the chinese person comes in!!! Limehouse was a particular area related to the chinese population - I bet the chinese person in the grave was a lodger and it was the kind hearted 17 year old who bought the grave for him (and not the rest of his family as I suggested). That's why the 2 year old was not buried in it as it would have offended the sensibilties of some, but come the 1900's and 1918 when his parents died he probably thought, well the space is there, it's already paid for and I might as well use it! PLEASE can anyone look up someone with the surname DAK for me living in the Poplar or Limehouse area, and also who lived at 40 Henniker Gardens, East Ham - may be the same person. PLEASE HELP ME solve this mystery of an extra person in my gt grandparents grave!! Thanks folks. Maz. XX |

Hi Marion The only Dak person I could find is a Hannah Dak age 26 a domestic servant living at the New Inn ,Henry Street Bow. she was also born in Bow April |
