mabel was born in 1921 which makes blanche 44, they had 3 children before mabel, george and violet twins and blanche, i just assume he was about the same age as blanche, other than that, no idea. hope this helps. thanks david |

My father in law has no father named on his birth certificate, and he has no idea who is father is/was. His mother had 3 children out of wedlock, all with no fathers named, from 1915 to 1934. Very brave in those days, I think. |

thanks for looking pat, but i have been able to find the crowe side of the family. its the harveys that i can't start on till i find which one is the right one! i think he was in the army out in india at some time. is there a site i could look for him there? thanks again david |

my late mothers (mabel harvey ames) father is becoming a headache! her parents were not married. i know his name was george harvey born in norwich but i do not know his d o b. and on the 1901 there is 3 that could be him. i have her marriage cert but her fathers not named, also her birth cert that i have is a small one if i sent for her birth cert would i get a more detailed one? her mothers name was blanche ames nee crowe b1877. i wished i had asked more when she was alive but it was a taboo subject! hope someone can help thanks david |
