At long last, after months of looking, I have found my GG Grandfather on the 1901 census - with his name spelled incorrectly (of course!!) What it did tell me was he was born in Ireland (presumably Southern), so now I know why I haven't been able to find a record of his birth. So, two different emotions - happiness at finding him, and frustration at not knowing how I might get a copy of his birth certificate. This may have already been answered before; but has anyone got any ideas?? Many thanks.
