British births abroad are included on the GRO index. They are at the end of each quarter or all at the end of the December quarter, I can't remember which. Gwynne |

I phoned Southport when I was searching for my mums half sister as we discovered she was born in San Salvador in the 30's They put me though to a different department that dealt with that register. I gave all the information I knew and shortly afterwards a lady kindly phoned me to say she had found my aunt! Its worth a try! |

Perhaps if you got his death certificate (presuming he has died) that would give you other info.Lynda |

I AM SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION OF ANTHONY FIELDING BORN CIRCA 1938. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT HE WAS BORN ABROAD, POSSIBLY IN ITALY. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GO ABOUT ACQUIRING A BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY. ANY TIPS WOULD BE WELCOME |
