Can anyone tell me the address of the site which allows me to order bmd certificates via the internet, I have inadvertently deleted my favourites? |

One disadvantage is that they stick by the rules and charge you a search fee if they do not find the certificate that you asked for. Local offices tend to be helpful with their searches and I have never been charged if they have not found one. Martin |

If you order from local office and put your phone number on the covering letter, they will usually phone you with any queries. |

Margaret, I order my certificates via 1837, there is a sub heading on the left hand side to do so.I know it takes you to the other site, but I use this link after I have found someone on the 1837. |

I think they both cost £7.00. But if you are lucky enough to live near the library you are researching, you can photocopy the film for whatever they charge at the library for a photocopy. I did one for 35p. What a bargain. Lynda |

The only difference is that local offices like a stamped addressed envelope. I have been finding that many now contact via EMail if there are any queries about which certificate is the right one. Martin |
