In the last five days I have recieved about six emails from "Microsoft" telling me to download a patch, it looks very much like it has been sent by them, but a warning to anyone that recieves one like this it has a virus, so please delete as soon as possible. Has anyone had an email from Microsoft? Sue.......

Hi Sue, Yes, I received one. Will confirm - Microsoft do NOT send emails to anyone, such as this. So delete, do not open Badger Bill, Worthing

Microsoft DO NOT send patches by email. If you receive one of these delete it without opening any attachment, as that contains a virus or worm. Delete again from your Deleted messages box to get rid of it. Jan.

Only Six? I've received many more than six but I have the Norton Anti Virus programme loaded which has automatically deleted the attachments thank goodness. I contacted Microsoft who took about 10 days to respond and advised me that they never send out patches via e mails. By then I had decided for myself that they were not geniune and decided to block the sender in each case. They now seem to have stopped thank goodness.

I had three or four at work last week, plus the ones that say they are undelivered messages, even though I hadn't sent an e-mail to anyone. Mel

Hi Mel, I had a virus on my computer last year and I didn't know at first. My competuer kept returning mail (that I hadn't sent and to addresses I had never heard of) to me saying it couldn't be delivered etc. This was when I found out I had a virus, luckily for me I have great anti-virus software now which stops the little devils!! So beware if you haven't got anti-virus software'cause that may be the reason that you are getting all those undelivered mail!! Laurie

Does anyone out there keep getting a box appearing in the top left hand corner of their screens, telling them that they have missed an incoming call? I have been getting these for weeks and it always disconnects me! My hubby reckons that they are a form of spam, any ideas anyone? Maggy, West Yorkshire
