Jan, no, unfortunately after checking the 1881 we can rule him out. He is there as Freddy Wm. HARRISS born Hull,living Lincoln,aged 6. Thanks for trying again though. Sharon |

Just did a search for Frederick HARRISS, and this one came up - do you think he might be of any interest? BINGO!! They were indexed under Harriss. Hull Road, Hessle. George M. Harness 53 Ag. Lab. Ridgmont Martha 51 Otringham. No others in household. Jan. |

Thanks for that Jan, I will investigate that lead further. Just found Fred and Edith on the 1901....under HARRISS, Sydney found under HARNER, person ID numbers match up and all in Hessle Without. I shall keep my fingers crossed for info on George and Martha. cheers , Sharon |

George HARNESS/HARNISS/HARNES(b.york) wife Martha (b.Ottringham) they would both be in their 50s. In 1881 they are living Ottringham,York and in 1901 they are living Hessle (Hessle Without?),York. Also their son Fred/Frederick HARNESS aged 16ish I am unable to locate him on the 1901 census.(married to Edith by 1901 with son Sidney) thanks, Sharon |
