Hi, have just traced my GG Grandfather, Joseph Eyre.On 1901 census he gives his brthplace as CLAY CROSS. I have found what might be his birth registration on 1837 online, but registration district is BELPER. Would this 'fit' ? Would someone born in Clay Cross be registered in Belper?? Steph |

If you check with Genuki, Clay Cross comes under Chesterfield, not Belper. Sorry! |
