I started using it on Tuesday night after someone posted the address on here. Half way through it stopped working, came back on here to find a posting from durhamrecords site about closing it until mid-October. Looks VERY good. All my mothers family, and husbands fathers family are all from Co. Durham. Can't wait!!! Debbie |

Hi Mary, I agree I also managed to buy some information before they closed the back door. Can't wait for it to start properly in a couple of weeks. Liz |

This site opens in a fornight as you know I found a way to search these records ahead of time and found my grandfather who I have been looking for for a while. This search has now been closed. It opens in a fortnight as I have said and looks to be a great help for anyone researching Mining communitys in co Durham. I couldn`t find my grandfather on 1837 or free BMD but found him here. Only wish it covered Northumberland where all my others are . Mary |
