Are there any descendants out there of George Allison,who married Elizabeth Cummings Fielding on 24-6-1901 at Gateshead.They moved to the Manchester area soon after,Elizabeth was my maternal Grans elder sister and I am trying to find the scource of her middle name.Regards,Tony. |

in them days they were normally named after family members, which you probably know. So you will probably find as you go back that the middle name is that of one of your rellies. regards |

I have a lot of ancestors who were given their mothers maiden name as a middle name,both males and females so this has helped me quite a bit in my searches. |

Thanks Pat and Anna, Her mothers maiden name was Stevenson and his mother was Bell,the previous names were Hislop dont know! Regards,Tony |
