Hi Eleanor, Electoral rolls that survive are held in country record offices. Not all counties kept all of the rolls so email the one concerned and ask what they hold. Very few are indexed by surname but an address can be found fairly easily. Other than that it's ploughing through them page after page. Hope this helps, Gwynne |

I've never liked to ask for one of these but I was recommended to do so, so here we go! I'm trying to help my friend, whose mum has just died, to find out about her mum her grandparents and maybe beyond! All we have to go on is that her mum was born on 26/08/1926 in Aberdare. Her name was Brenda Woody. I've looked on 1837 but can't find her there. Any help would be gratefully received! Thanks Eleanor |
