Debra, if I can't find people on 1901 census I try and find them on the 1881 census, and vice versa. I can quite often find people on one but not the other! |

Hi, I would think the next step is to send for the birth certs of both parents. Their parents will be on the 1901 census. Hope this helps, Gwynne |

I have just purchased marriage certificate of husbands grandparents but can not find any info on 1901 census can anyone help advise what to look for with information held which is John Shaw 212 Liverpool Road Pewfull and Dorothy Orrell 381 Old Road Ashton both Lancashire areas, dob 26.5.1928 father of groom William Shaw both he and son collier, father of Dorothy John Orrell farmer. DOB for John is 10.10.04 and Dorothy Jan 1905 marriage taken place at Holy Trinity Ashton in Makerfield. |
