i have found a family which i sure is my great grandfathers family. But does anyone have any tips on how I would go about getting this verified. As i am at a dead end at my Great grandfather name....that is the only information I have |

You will need your grandfather`s birth certificate to see if the names agree with what you have found. That will give you his father`s name and his mother`s maiden name, then check back the indices for a marriage. The marriage certificate should give you their ages when they married, hopefully. If you are unlucky, you will get `of full age`, in which case, you can only be sure that they are at least 21. |

how can i be sure that the birth certificate is my great grandfather though. I have my grandfathers certificate which names my great grandfather but that is it.........i have been unsuccessful tracing further than this |
