how do i find record of someones death? john gerdes married isabella ashcroft in1869 liverpool . on 1881 census isabella is a widow with 3 children john, frederick and james ,so he must have died between 1879 -(after james was born) and 1881. i cant find any record of this, is it likely to be on the 1837online site? |

If you can't find it on FreeBMD because it is incomplete, then go to your local library - especially if it is a large one - they will most likely have a Family History Dept where the BMD indexes (or indices) for England and Wales are kept on microfilm. Kathy |
