Penelope: I have a mystery your records may be able to solve. I am looking for any reference to the Colville family in Glamorgan (mainly in Ystradyfodwg) pre 1881. There were Richard (b1823), wife Catherine (b1817)sons Richard W born 1843, Frederick (b1846) Charles (born 1850) and Henry (born 1853) all present and correct in 1881, 1891 and 1901 censuses. My family with the same children and the same names, born on same dates in the same places occurs in 1851 and 1861 censuses in Glamorgan and then disappear without trace after that! Lucy suggested they started using the name Colville later (from 1881) but the records are consistent for two separate families, and I should feel an awful ninny if I highjacked someone else's family. The earlier entries are under surname COLWELL and the later ones COLVILLE. Any help would be appreciated. |

I dont know what VRI stands for but I'll ask anyway!!! Are you able to look up a RICHARD JOHN BURGE marrying a SARAH without knowing her surname... RJB was born 1805 and they are likely to have married in London, possibly Marylebone/Westminster areas? Thanks ALison |

I'm nudging this as I need to be able to find it without scrolling through pages and pages. I will search for the names after I've finished stripping (the walls). Penny |

Dear Penny If you are not totally sick and tired of look-ups, could you possibly do one for me please! I am trying to trace the birth of: Sarah Kent born c 1854 in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. Her father was Edward Kent (Timber Merchant) but unfortunately no mothers name. Would be very grateful Best wishes Helen Strong Berkshire |

Thanks for doing this, i really appreciate it. Is it possible you cuold look up marriage and death (not sure if you can do death) dates for the following: Edwin Olliver born 1829 Married Ann ? born 1829 Harry Olliver born 1869 Married Emily? 1869C I was wondering if you knew the surnames of these ladies also if you can find out anything abour Charlotte Mary Duke born 1911 married George Earnets Olliver in 1929 and died in 1977. I trying to find out about her family, but cant find anything on them, just that she had a sister called Alice and Margaret all of these people should be in Worthing West Sussex, not too sure about the Dukes though. Thanks loads Hayley |

Hi Penelope, Sorry to deviate slightly but as I'm only a '2 -week old geneaologist' and don't know much yet, could you (or anyone else reading) please tell me where you buy VRI CDs? Hope you didn't mind me asking. Regards, Aileen |
