Hi Sinead, Tried this site but could not get the reader thing to work - I'm a bit of a novice I'm afraid - if you go back in could you look and see what it says about Henry Dipple in the London Gazette I think its in 1918. Thanks, Maggie. |

Hi Maggie, It is a bit awkward-you have to go to the Adobe website and download the reader to save on to your hard drive then you can access the gazettes-a bit of a fiddle but worth it.Here is your info- Notice is hereby given that the partnership between George Henry Dipple and George William Dipple as Watchmakers,Jewellers,Silversmiths and Opticians at 2 Swan Lane and 19 Castle Street in Norwich as "Dipple and Son" has been dissolved by mutual consent from 1 March 1918.All debts due and owing will be received and paid by the said George William Dipple Dated 3 May 1918. From The London Gazette Issue 30673 of 7 May 1918 Hope this is of some use to you.Good luck in your searching!! Sinead |

Success then! A word of warning though-it takes about 45 mins to download and you need to reboot after it's done to enable it to work properly-after that when you go into the site,it should activate the reader as soon as you choose the gazette article in question. You may need to squint though- the writing is a bit titchy! Good luck with the download and happy hunting! Sinead |
