Hi Sylvie Thanks for trying. 66 Southdean Gardens definitely exists, but I had trouble tracing it on 1901 census. Have no more suggestions, thanks for looking. Just had a thought - it may be Wimbledon - but I think that comes under Surrey. Sue |

Hi Sylvie, Thanks very much for trying. I only found out there was more than one family in each house when I moved on to the next household, it went No. 7, No. 8 then back to 7 then back to 8 again practically all through the street. Most strange unless they were actually split houses and now would be 7, 7a etc. What I did find out though as I went through trying to find the adjoining streets was that at No. 3 there was an Elizabeth Elliot. This may turn out to be Alfred's 2nd wife and my g grandmother. First possible lead I have had on her. So even though it looks as if Alfred didn't live there in 1871 so no lead on his 1st wife it may be good news after all. Thanks again Janet |

Hi Sylvie, Trust me to make a mistake. It is Wandsworth 8 Livingston Terrace, Wandsworth. On the 1881 census it comes between Edgill Street and Ferrier Street. If you do find it (hopefully) there appears to be more than one entry for each number. The family I am interested in is Alfred George born 1843 Battersea Thanks Janet |

Hi David I don't think so unless you have an address (it would take all day - no three - to look through all the streets in HArrow) and you are sure Harrow on the Hill is in London - I thought it was in Middlesex?? Sorry Sylvie |

FOR SHANNETTE Which census. I can't find Chamberlayne Mansions on the 1891 - or Willesden for that matter - I do have Kensal Green/Rise etc so it may just be that it was actually outside of the London area. I think yours is the last one I am dealing with at the moment so email me if you want me to look at the 71 or if you have more info. Sylvie |

If not - it may be worth your going to Lost London Streets and having a nose around FOR SHIRLEY Simeon (or perhaps Simsom) Miles with Ellen, Upton Simeon Ellen Sarah Henry Can these names be real? Sorry they don't seem to be yours Sylvie |

For Sue I can find a Southfiels, Southfields Road and Terrace, a Southmead Road, South Parade, South Road and South Street but noi Southdean Gdns - any ideas? For Ruth There is an entry for 257 Southwark Bridge Road but there is nothing beside it - not even an entry to show that it is uninhabited - send me an email with the details again and I will browse through to the end of the area tonight - just incase it has been added at the end. ForThomas - there are Westbrookes, Barretts, Burgess, Rilett. Belsford and Crowther at that address For Alison, No Clilverds I'm afraid. Stanley Mews is uninhabited and I can only find Cold Bath Square, as Great Bath Street - at your number there are the names Colis Surrell and what looks like Yerlett. I had rellies in Stanley Mews too!!! These are disappointing results - but at least they tell you something!! Sylvie |
